Let's get real !! Don't fall for those ads on the Internet announcing fabulous cheap Paris hotels from  just $50. Yes of course, no kidding...  if you're travelling mid November and are happy to stay in a flea-pit or cramped four to a tiny room, or both, you can find rates like this.. Even cheaper maybe....  But that's not what most tourists are looking for. The very cheapest rooms in tourist style hotels in Paris in 2026 generally come in at at least 80 € a night.... and most of those at this price leave a lot to be desired, notably in terms of location.
   Our selection covers well-reviewed hotels with a ranking of between unclassed and two-stars, plus some budget three-star hotels. Almost all hotels listed on this page have at least some double rooms available for less than 150 € a night at off-peak times in 2026.  Rates may be even lower in really off-peak weeks, such as in January or November.
   But before anyone gets too excited, let's be perfectly clear and honest about cheap hotels in Paris. It's important not to get carried away.

• Cheap means cheap by Paris standards. For the cost of a cheap one-star hotel in Paris, you could  book a comfortable three-star hotel in many parts of rural France.
• You get what you pay for.  And, in our selection, often a bit better.
• Few of the cheapest hotels in Paris are located in the popular tourist districts. However  most of those we have selected are close to metro stations for easy access to the sights and attractions.  You don't want to take a cheap hotel then find it's twenty minutes walk to the nearest metro.
• Cheap hotels are generally no-frills hotels.  But those we have chosen get good reviews including for being clean
• If its really rock-bottom prices you're after, there are a couple of bargain-basement F1 hotels in Paris, but they are located right on the edge of the central area, and not well recommended. The cheapest is the F1 Saint Ouen, in the north of Paris.  You'll pay a bit more, and get much better value, plus a metro station 300 metres away, at the Porte d'Orleans Ibis Budget hotel in the south of Paris.      Alternatively check out our selection of  backpacker hostels and student hostels if you are looking for dorm style accommodation.
• Car parking. Don't drive in to Paris if you can avoid it.  For a cheap hotel with on-site covered public car parking (less than 12 € a day) and just a few metres from a metro station, try Campanile Paris Est at the Porte de Bagnolet

Central Paris (Right bank and left bank of the Seine)

• 4th Arondissement - Marais
  The * Sully Hotel in the central Marais district has some double rooms  for less than 130 € at off-peak times, and family rooms for under 150€ . Rooms clean and small, but you wouldn't expect big rooms at the price. Plenty of restaurants and eateries close by.
• 5th Arondissement - south central - Metro Gobelins
  The ** Hotel Port Royal has some double rooms with shared WC for less than 100 € at off-peak times, and rooms with shower for under 130€. Lift to all floors.  15 minute walk to the river
• 6th Arondissement - Latin quarter
  The ** Hotel de Nesle has some double rooms with shared WC, or single rooms with private bathroom, for less than 130 € at off-peak times. Hotel with garden courtyard, between the Orsay museum and Notre Dame. No lift / elevator, but lots of character, and parking available if reserved.

Northwest central Paris (Champs Elysées area, north of the Seine)

This is the most expensive area of Paris for hotels. It is unusual to find any hotel offering rooms for under 120 € a night, except in the lowest season. It covers the 8th, 16th and southern part of the 17th districts of Paris

• 17th Arondissement - Anvers -  Metro Ternes
  The  ** Hotel Maat Etoile is a recently renovated small traditional hotel, in a small street a short walk from the Place de l'Etoile at the top of the Champs Elysées. It gets good visitor reviews, specially for value and location. All rooms with en-suite shower. A vibrant area with plenty of small restaurants. Private parking available if reserved..

North central Paris (Clichy, Montmartre, Pigalle, Gare du Nord ...)

• 9th Arondissement - Anvers -  Metro Anvers
  The  ** Jeff hotel has some double rooms  for less than 130 € at off-peak times, and single rooms for just over 100€,. Plenty of cafés and restaurants close by. Well located with quick access to three metro lines
• 9th Arondissement - Anvers -  Metro Anvers
  The   * Perfect Hotel and Hostel is as it claims both hotel and hostel; there are double and triple rooms, as well as four-bed hostel-style rooms, and rooms with a shared bathroom are very cheap by Paris standards. Prices include breakfast, which is unusual in Paris. Montmartre is a short walk away. The hotel is located in a quiet street well off main thoroughfares. Plenty of cafés and restaurants close by.
• 9th Arondissement - Montmartre - Metro Abbesses
  The ** Hotel Regyn's Montmartre is a  ** hotel on the slopes of Montmartre, and six minutes walk from the Sacré-Coeur and the Place du Tertre, and seven minutes walk from the Moulin rouge.. It is located just a few metres from the Abbesses metro station with trains into the centre of Paris. Excellent location, lots of good reviews for this hotel.
• 17th Arondissement - Clichy -  Metro Place de Clichy
  The ** Hotel Darcet is a small hotel with 32 rooms located in the vibrant quarter of Clichy, just off the Boulevard des Batignolles. Plenty of bars and restaurants close by. The hotel gets top marks all round, and offers great value for money by Parisian standards. Some double rooms for under 150 € at off-peak times. Easy access to Montmartre and Pigalle
• 17th Arondissement - Batignolless - Metro Porte de Clichy
  The *** Hotel Ibis Paris 17 Batignolles is a large Paris hotel (688 rooms) now run by the Ibis chain. Its unusual feature for a budget hotel is its indoor swimming pool. The hotel has three restaurants.   It is close to the Parc Clichy Batignolles,  and just 500 metres from  Brochant and Porte de Clichy metro stations. Parking
• 19th Arondissement -   Metro Stalingrad
  The ** Reims Hotel is in a multi-cultural district of Paris ten-minutes walk from the Gare du Nord or the Gare de l'Est,  close to the banks of the St Martin Canal, and a mile from Montmartre. Quiet rooms off-street, stair access. Note "chambre sur cour, s.v.p." in the message box when you book online. Good user ratings all round. Doubles from 130 € off-peak.

Southwest central Paris (Eiffel tower area - south of the Seine)

• 15th Arondissement - Grenelle - Metro Dupleix
  The Campanile Paris 15 is probably the cheapest chain hotel, and also one of the cheapest hotels,  within a kilometer of the Eiffel tower. 500 metres from the river Seine, it is located in a classic Parisian building, so is rather different from most Campanile hotels elsewhere in France. But being located where it is, don't expect any rooms for under 200 €
• 15th Arondissement - Grenelle - Metro Dupleix
  The ** Hotel Eiffel XV is 900 metres from the Eiffel Tower and 200 metres from the Metro. Plenty of restaurants in easy walking distance. 46 rooms. Rooms with coffee making facilities. Friendly staff. Good value considering the location. Good wifi. 4 floors, but no lift / no elevator. Rooms for under 200 € off-peak.

East central Paris (Gare de Lyon, Bastille, Nation, la Villette..)

• 12th Arondissement - Near Gare de Lyon
  The ** Hotel de Venise is a clean friendly and welcoming local hotel with 30 rooms. Some rooms for under 160 €. Family-run, It is located in a quiet street 350 metres from metro station. The rooms are small, but you cannot expect big rooms at the price; good breakfasts..
• 12th Arondissement - Porte Dorée - Metro Porte Dorée
  The *** Hotel Ibis Paris Porte Dorée is a relatively small classic Ibis hotel with just 39 rooms .  It is just a one minute walk to the nearest metro, with direct trains into the centre of Paris. It is also just 100 metres from an entrance to the Parc de Vincennes, a large park with woodland, lakes and plenty of trails for hiking, jogging or just enjoying the peace and quiet
• 19th Arondissement - La Villette - Metro Corentin Cariou
  The *** Hotel Ibis Paris la Villette probably offers the best balance between prices and location among the various Ibis hotels in Paris. The canal-side location is close to the La Villette science museum. Restaurant, free wifi, and metro station 400 metres.
• 19th Arondissement - Avenue Jean Jaurès - Metro Laumière
  The ** Hotel Ibis Budget Paris la Villette is a classic modern budget hotel, run by France's largest hotel group. It is just 200 metres from the metro (line 5) It is located on Avenue Jean Jaurès, 200 metres from the leafy banks of the Bassin de la Villette on the St Martin canal
• 20th Arondissement - Near Père Lachaise - Metro Gambetta
  The ** Hotel Nadaud is a bit off-center, but 250 metres from Gambeta metro station (line 3) . But with off-peak rates from under 120 €, it seems hard to find better value for money than this in Paris. Clean and comfortable 2-star hotel with 26 rooms and excellent reviews. Plenty of restaurants nearby. Lift. Upper floor rooms are quietest.

South central Paris  (Montparnasse,  Place d'Italie... ) 

• 13th Arondissement - Place d'Italie - Metro Place d'Italie
  The ** Hotel Neptune is reputed as being good value for money. This clean 25-room hotel is in a quiet street just 150 metres from Place d'Italie, with its good metro connections. Former Chinese premier Chou En Lai lived here from 1922 to 1924 ! Close to Paris's Chinatown.
• 14th Arondissement - Montparnasse - Metro Plaisance
  The ** Maison Montparnasse is located in a quiet street 600 metres from the Gare Montparnasse (trains for/from western France). A small clean hotel, with 36 rooms. Young friendly staff, and good value for money. Library. P Unusually for Paris, this hotel has private parking (charge).
• 19th Arondissement - Avenue Jean Jaurès - Metro Laumière
  The ** Hotel Ibis Budget Paris Porte d'Orleans is a classic modern budget hotel with 171 rooms. It is just 6 minutes walk to Porte d'Orleans metro station  (line 4) for direct trains to the heart of Paris .
